What is the 14 days Dubai visit visa?

The 14 days Dubai visit visa is the shortest tourist visa the UAE issues for an ordinary holiday. It allows one entry, 14 days of stay from the day you land, and you have 60 days from the date it is issued to make that entry. It is an electronic visa: it arrives as a PDF by email, and there is nothing to collect, no appointment, and no stamp to queue for at the airport.

It suits a trip you have already planned to the day — a week of sightseeing, a long weekend that stretched, a short family visit, a few days of meetings. If your dates are still moving, the 30 days visa gives you the room without much more outlay.

The 15-day question

There is no 15-day Dubai visa, and there never has been. The UAE issues tourist visas in 14, 30 and 60-day durations, so if you have been searching for a 15-day visa, this 14-day one is what you are looking at.

That one-day difference matters more than it sounds. Your stay is counted from the date you enter, and day 14 is your last full day — you must be out of the country before the fifteenth day ends. Overstaying is charged at a daily fine and can affect a future application, so if your trip genuinely runs past 14 days, take the 30 days visa. The extra outlay costs less than the fine, and considerably less than the argument at the airport.

Documents required

  • Passport bio page — a clear colour scan, valid at least six months beyond your arrival date
  • Passport photograph — recent, plain white background, full face, no glasses or head covering except for religious reasons
  • Confirmed return or onward ticket — dated within your 14 days
  • Where you are staying — a hotel booking, or the address and contact details of the family or friends hosting you

Scans from a phone are fine as long as all four corners of the page are in frame, nothing is cut off, and the text is sharp. Blurred passport scans are the most common reason an application comes back to us for a second attempt.

Frequently asked questions

How much is the 14 days Dubai visa?

$185 per person, with processing included. There is nothing further to pay on arrival.

Is there a 15 days Dubai visa?

No. The UAE issues 14, 30 and 60-day tourist visas. For a trip of 15 days or more, the 30 days visa is the correct one.

When does the 14 days start counting?

From the day you enter the UAE, not from the day the visa is issued. You have 60 days from issue to make that entry.

Can I leave and re-enter on this visa?

No. It is a single-entry visa — it is used up the moment you exit the UAE. If you need to come back, the 30 Days Multiple Entry Visa is the one to take.

Can I visit Abu Dhabi or Sharjah on a Dubai visa?

Yes. It is a UAE visa and it is valid in all seven emirates.

How long does it take to come through?

3–4 working days from the point all your documents are received, or 24–36 hours on Express for $235.

What are the photo requirements?

A recent photograph on a plain white background, full face and clearly visible. Glasses should be removed. A head covering is accepted where it is worn for religious reasons.

Can I scan my passport with my phone?

Yes, as long as all four corners of the page are in frame, nothing is cut off and the text is sharp. Blurred passport scans are the most common reason an application comes back to us for a second attempt.

What happens if I stay longer than 14 days?

Overstaying is charged at a daily fine and can affect a future application. Day 14 is your last full day, so if your trip genuinely runs past it, take the 30 days visa instead.

How does the visa reach me?

As a PDF by email. There is nothing to collect, no appointment, and no stamp to queue for at the airport. Print it or keep it on your phone.
