Questions

Dubai visa questions

Quick answers before you apply. See all FAQs

Which Dubai visa should I choose?
It depends on your trip: 14 or 30 days for holidays, 60 days for longer stays, 96 hours for transit, multiple entry if you plan to leave and re-enter the UAE, and the GCC visa if you hold a GCC residence permit.
How long does processing take?
Regular processing takes 3 to 4 working days once all documents have been submitted. Express processing delivers in 24 to 36 hours. During the application, our team confirms whether express is available for your case.
Is the visa valid across all emirates?
Yes. All seven visas are valid across every emirate, for entry by air, land or sea.
What documents are required?
Most applications need two documents: a clear colour scan of your passport data page, valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date, and a recent passport-style photo. Some nationalities also need a national ID, additional passport pages or a bank statement. The form shows these only when they are required.
What is the difference between single and multiple entry?
A single entry visa covers one entry into the UAE. A multiple entry visa lets you enter and leave as often as you need, which suits frequent travel or trips where you leave and re-enter the UAE.
When does my length of stay start?
Your permit shows two dates. The entry window is the period in which you must arrive; it starts from the issue date. The length of stay (14, 30 or 60 days) is counted from the day you actually enter the country. Apply close to your travel dates so the entry window comfortably covers your trip.
Can I track my application?
Yes. You can follow every stage in real time on the Track application page, and we promptly let you know about any updates.
Is the visa fee refundable if my application is rejected?
If your application is rejected by the immigration department, the visa fee is non-refundable. We review every application carefully before submission to minimise this risk.
What is the 3,000 dirham rule?
Immigration may ask visitors to show they can support themselves during their stay, which is commonly quoted as around 3,000 dirhams or an equivalent in cash or on a card, plus a return ticket. It is not a formal published requirement for every traveller and is applied at the officer’s discretion on arrival.
Is there a 3 month or 12 month Dubai tourist visa?
No. The longest Dubai visit visa is 60 days. Stays beyond two months require a different route, such as a residence visa, which is not a tourist visa and is not offered here.
