Dubai Visa for Pakistani Citizens: Price, Documents and Rejection Risk

The documents a Pakistani applicant sends for a Dubai visa, prices, processing time and the honest picture on refusals.

Visa for Pakistani Citizens 2026

Pakistani passport holders can apply for a Dubai tourist visa online, before they travel. Pakistan is not on the UAE visa on arrival list, so the visa has to be approved before you fly. Compared with most nationalities, a Pakistani application asks for more paperwork: your CNIC, extra passport pages, a bank statement for the last 3 months and your graduation certificate. Prices start at $185 for 14 days, and a decision usually comes in 3 to 4 working days.

The paperwork matters more than usual, because Pakistani applications are reviewed closely and a refused application is not refunded. This guide sets out exactly what we ask Pakistani applicants for, what each document needs to show, and what you can do to give your application its best chance.

Documents for a Pakistani applicant

These are the documents our application asks for when the nationality is Pakistan:

Document

What we need

The usual problem

Photo

Recent, plain white background, full face, no glasses

Off-white background or an old photo

Passport

Colour scans of the photo page, the cover, and pages 1 and 2, with at least six months of validity left

A page cut off at the edge, or glare across the details

CNIC

Front and back, in colour

A name written differently from the passport

Bank statement

The last 3 months, in your own name

A statement in a family member's name, or only one month

Graduation certificate

A clear scan of your highest degree or diploma

A blurred photo of a framed certificate

Return or onward ticket

A flight out of the UAE, dated inside your stay

A return date that falls after the visa ends

Accommodation

A hotel booking, or the address and phone number of the person you are staying with

No address given, or dates that do not match the ticket

The graduation certificate is not needed if you apply for the Dubai visa for GCC residents. The ticket and the accommodation details are required for every applicant, not only Pakistanis: Dubai immigration lists a ticket out of the UAE as a condition of the tourist visa. The application form also asks for your profession, so enter it as it appears on your documents.

For the general rules that apply to every nationality, such as the photo standard and how to scan a passport properly, see our Dubai visit visa requirements checklist.

Make your CNIC and passport tell the same story

Most avoidable problems on Pakistani applications come from small differences between documents. Immigration compares them, and a mismatch makes an application harder to approve.

  • Names. Your name must be typed exactly as the passport prints it, in the same order. If your CNIC shows it differently, for example with your father's name or a different spelling, follow the passport and send both documents as they are.
  • Passport pages. Pages 1 and 2 are requested in addition to the photo page. Scan each one flat, in colour, with all four corners visible.
  • Bank statement. It should be in the applicant's own name and cover the last 3 months. A statement belonging to a parent or spouse does not replace your own.
  • Graduation certificate. Scan it out of the frame if you can. Glass reflections make the name and the institution hard to read.

Prices are per person and the same for every nationality. You pay in US dollars, and your bank converts the amount to rupees at its own rate. Express processing costs $50 more. The stay is counted from the day you land, and the visa has to be used within 60 days of being issued (30 days for the transit and GCC resident visas).

For a family visit or a holiday of one to three weeks, the 30 day visa is usually the right size: it costs $20 more than the 14 day visa and leaves room if your return date moves.

If you live in Saudi Arabia or elsewhere in the Gulf

Pakistani nationals with a residence permit in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain or Oman can apply for the Dubai visa for GCC residents instead, at $200 for 30 days. It is issued on the strength of your residency, so you send both sides of your residence permit instead of the graduation certificate. Residents of Saudi Arabia are also asked for a few Absher and sponsor documents, which the visa page lists.

Rejection risk: what to know before you pay

We would rather you hear this before applying than after.

  • Men under 40 face a higher risk of refusal. Based on current approval patterns, applications from Pakistani men under the age of 40 are refused more often than others. This is not a written rule and it does not mean you will be refused, but you should factor it in.
  • The fee is not refunded if immigration refuses the visa. The decision belongs to UAE immigration, not to us, so a refusal is not a reason for a refund.
  • Immigration does not give a reason when it refuses a visit visa.

Nobody can guarantee an approval. Be wary of any agent who promises one, especially for a higher fee.

What gives your application its best chance

  1. Send every document in the first application, clear and in colour. Missing or unreadable documents are the most common cause of delay.
  2. Make sure the names on your passport, CNIC, bank statement and certificate can be matched to each other.
  3. Use a bank statement in your own name, covering the full 3 months.
  4. Choose the visa that fits your real plans, and check that your return flight and your accommodation dates both fall inside it.
  5. Apply one to two weeks before you fly. Weekends in the UAE are Saturday and Sunday, and they do not count as working days.
  6. Submit once. A second application on top of the first slows both down.

When everything is ready, you can apply for your Dubai e-visa online in about five minutes.

How long it takes

A Dubai visa is usually processed in 3 to 4 working days. Express processing issues it in 24 to 36 hours for $50 more, but if immigration decides to run an extra check on your file, express does not make that check any quicker. Our guide to Dubai visa processing times explains what slows an application down.

If your visa is refused

Do not send the same application again straight away. Go through the documents first, especially the scans and the name details, and check whether anything from a previous visit, such as an unpaid overstay fine, is on your record. Our guide on what to do after a Dubai visa rejection walks through the likely causes.

Last reviewed on 23 October 2026, against the document list in our live application form for Pakistani nationals. The requirements come from UAE immigration, which can update them at any time and makes every approval decision.
